It seems like history is going to repeat again as Indians are 2 down in four match test series and white wash for Australia is looking good. This time it took 4 days for Australia to get yet another victory over India and added another chapter to their Gabbatoir legend.
The visitors started positively on Day 1 of 2nd test match with gaining some confidence after their proximate lost in the 1st test match. Murali Vijay led India to a wonderful start scoring a much needed ton for his team on a fast and bouncy track. Other than Murali Vijay, only Ajinkya Rahane could make an impact on the Australian bowlers in the first innings.
Indian innings unraveled quickly on Day 2 and lost the advantage of capitalizing on the good start. Indian bowlers bowled the tight and disciplined line on Day 2 and at one stage Australia were struggling at 247 for 6. But again just like their batting, they lost the grip of the game when runs started leaking through the bat of tail-enders on the start of Day 3 after which Australian never gave a chance to Indian team to get back into the contest. India's chance then in the match was covered by the dark clouds of "Mitchell" when Mitchell Johnson and Mitchell Stark threw them out of the game by giving their team the lead of handy 97 runs on the taunting surface of Gabba.
When it was looking like that the Indians were improving their tactics against fast and bouncy bowling attack after their previous three innings, the 'Collapse' for which they are well known outside the subcontinent took place and in no time on Day 4 they crumpled for 224 giving Australia mere 128 runs of target to win.
For Australia also with the victory came some good sign, as quick and aggressive Johnson is back with his breakneck pace and line picking up 4 wickets in the 2nd innings. Australia, while chasing down 126 had some difficulties on a torn out pitch in Brisbane and lost 6 wickets but reached their target safely in the end.
