New Zealand have beaten Sri Lanka in the 2nd Test by 193 runs and also won the series 2-0. Kiwis had won the 1st Test by 8 wickets.
At the start of the day Sri Lanka had lost only 1 wicket and were 45-1. Trent Boult picked up the wicket of Prasad in his very first over of the day. Later, he again strike and grabbed the important wicket of Kumar Sangakkara. Both of these batsmen got out after scoring 6 and 5 runs respectively.
Captain Mathews also failed to score runs and became the victim of Bracewell when he was on 8. Lahiru Thirimanne stood firmly at one end but Sri Lanka kept losing wickets with regular intervals of time at the other end.
Sri Lanka were all out on 196 runs. Thirimanne remained not out on 62 runs.
