Hashim Amla started of the innings briskly with two fours in the first over of the match but he was dismissed in the 3rd over of the bowling of Mohammad Naveed , out of form De Kock started to find form as he steadily paced his innings with Rossouw before being dismissed caught behind to Amjad Javed he made 26 of 45 balls, he was soon followed by Rossouw who made 43 runs of 49 balls with 8 fours, then David Miller and AB put on a massive 108 run partnership of 17.5 overs , Miller fell 1 short of fifty he was cleaned by Naveed when Proteas were 204 for 4 in 36 overs.
Amjad Javed put down a difficult chance of De villers when he was on 63 , he and Duminy put on a 53 run partnership of 37 balls , AB for a change didn't get to hundred as was out on short third man with a score of 99 , after that Duminy put on 35 run partnership with Behardien and when Duminy was dismissed Behardien and Philander put on a 49 run partnership of the last 3 overs , Farhaan smashed 25 runs of the last over to take South Africa to massive 341 runs in 50 overs.
U.A.E's Amjad and Berenger started of the chase cautiously against the pace of Steyn and Philander opening partnership added 28 in 7 overs Berenger was the first to be dismissed by Morne Morkel of 5 , Amjad Ali was dismissed in the 12th over and soon after experience guy Khurram Khan was dismissed and U.A.E was reduced 45 for 3 in 13 overs, then the in-form Shaiman Anwar put on a 63 run 4th wicket partnership , Tahir claimed his first wicket of the match by dismissing Anwar when he was 39, U.A.E were 108/4 in 30 overs.
Swapnil was the common denominator in the U.A.E's inning , he was not out till the end as wickets began to tumble from the other end , he scored his 2nd odi fifty of 93 balls as he remained unbeaten till the end , U.A.E was bowled out 195 in 47.3 overs as their last man Fahad Alhashmi who was injured during the South African batting went to hospital for check-up and didn't showed up for batting.
AB de Villers ,Morne Morkel and returning Philander picked up 2 wickets each and Steyn , Tahir and Duminy picked up a wicket each to beat U.A.E by 146 runs.
